The aim of the NERO Perugino/Burri exhibition, commissioned by the Fondazione Perugia as part of the activities promoted for the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the death of Pietro Vannucci, is to bring the works of the two major Umbrian artists into dialogue.
The two painters are united by the suggestive formal solution of the black background, hence the title of the event.
The exhibition was presented in detail by the President of the Fondazione Perugia Cristina Colaiacovo and by the two curators of the exhibition, the art historian Vittoria Garibaldi and the President of the Fondazione Burri Bruno Corà.
